Funeral services for Captain J. F. Wight were held yesterday at North Street M E Church with a vast gathering, both auditorium and gallery filled. Rev. R F Campbell delivered a fitting address. Floral offerings were elaborate. The remains were moved to Oakland Cemetery for burial.
Mes. Frank B. Forney and Frances Witte, daughter, retired yesterday after visiting Macon friends.
The educational committee of Yo Mu. A. with Prof. C. A. Doyle as chairman organized a winter series of Tuesday night entertainments. Each month features a Christian association meeting, Lib Society program, and then open stereoscopic lectures, musicals, and humorous shows led by D. M. Hinwlelt of St. Louis, noted for work at the Panama Canal.
Mr and Mrs Cuhvie on Morest Avenue welcome a fine son born early this morning. Mother and babe are doing well and Mr Guthrie is the happiest man in the Wabash shops.

On Monday November 18 there will be a pumpkin pie social at the Y M C A. All new and October 5 entrants plus inviting members are invited. A big time is expected and attendance is encouraged by W I Holloman chairman membership committee.
The ladies of the Mount Street Methodist church offer the first oyster supper of the season in the basement on Monday evening in October. All are invited for a pleasant social evening with celery and side dishes. Oysters, coffee and cake priced at five and ten cents respectively. No admission at the door. Business folks can get an early service at six o'clock.
