A severe storm and lightning last evening caused power outages and damage across downtown Moberly. Sparks from the Nash at D line disrupted the incandescent circuit, cutting lights in West Fourth North Reed district. Elin Fox’s bar, W S Herald parlors, Mangeus drug store, J W Roberts meat market, and the eye house in Medyvess block reported outages. A hay stack near J P Sinnock’s nursery was struck by lightning.
