Excelsior Springs defeated Moberly 8 to 6 yesterday afternoon at Excelsior Springs. Wilcox, Sheridan and Davis turned in a key double play while Wilcox also erred at short allowing two runs. Mobely collected nine hits off Cratty as Shilling and Leslie struggled on a rain softened field and the crowd praised the effort despite errors on both sides.
