The mayor deflected the threat, they sought cool drinks, then proceeded to police HQ where officers detained the man without incident. A nearby ad promotes a dressmaking academy offering gowns at Reed Street.
Opinion piece condemns the New York Sun for money worship in politics and warns that suppressing trusts would trigger industrial disaster. The writer argues Republican policy forces a binary choice and urges the Democratic party to stand with the people.
