Heavy rain paused the parade but crowds gathered at the fair grounds. The Married Man's Tongue lead by mounted police, the Bueha Jora band and Moberly frat department drew a strong group to enjoy horse, suck, foot races and amusements. By evening the grand stand filled, fireworks were modest yet pleasant, and attendees from near and far left praising the event despite bad weather.
