Ex-businessman P. Vandergrift arrived in Moberly after Oklahoma City arrest on bigamy charges. He was jailed in the city lockup after meeting City Marshal John Patterson and Prosecuting Attorney H. Acquittals Expected in Gordon Murder Trial
In Columbia on Saturday the defense challenged the prosecution to drop the man slaughter charge from their instructions and let the defendant be tried for murder alone.
