M Hamick and R B Lyons led state highway bids for project 44 section OAS a Huntsville to Clifton strip. Twenty four bidders from Missouri Kansas Tennessee submitted offers. Munsen Marion Ja bid 37 dollars thousand, far below estimates, with local bidders Lynch & McDonald and Henderson Warsham Jacksonville submitting similar totals.
Jefferson City February 10 The Supreme Court yesterday disposed of an odd damages suit from Ma con county in which William S Forgey and wife sought 10000 against Ma con Telephone Co alleging their home burned November 13 1929 due to negligence for not connecting with the city fire department central operator Mrs Torgey waited 15 to 20 minutes after discovering the fire before obtaining help.
A probate court note records a suit brought by Mrs Clemison managing partner against the son and sons. The case seeks action in the Wantsville term with Cave representing the defendant and Jerry Jeffries for the plaintiff.
