Mysterious Fast Train Trip to St Louis Baffles City
S Jewett city agent of Missouri Pacific received a call from a man named Clark requesting a special train to St Louis to arrive before 10 am. A single passenger rode a train from the depot, reaching St Louis in six hours and fifteen minutes. The railroad records show the regular speed is seven hours thirty five minutes. Clark’s identity remains unknown.

Death of Mrs Laura Null at 42 in Missouri
Mrs Laura Null died at 2 am at her country home four miles east of Moberly from cancer. She had an operation weeks earlier but surgeons closed the incision after seeing the cancer’s size.
