Man Robbed After Ride From Wabash Yards
Wa. V. Clanton, a Wabash yard inspector, was driven from the yards by two men who then robbed him of about 40 to 50 dollars and dumped him near the roadside. He crawled back to town by morning, unable to identify his attackers though one wore a duck coat with fur trimming. Police investigated as Charities Alden was arrested later in Huntsville awaiting transfer. Clanton hoped for the return of his pocketbook containing his army discharge papers.
