Mrs E C Doyle’s sister figures in a piety romance tied to a Denver wedding held in August. Formerly of Clarence, she and Mrs Kingsley visited Monroe. Pearl Stile of Ingilion, MA, attended fiancé Honor Pavel. Other relatives appeared as the ceremony unfolded.

A thorough fire at White's Livery Stable on Southey Willirurs Street caused major damage. Fire crews battled the blaze for hours, saving some horses and carriages but leaving the building partially destroyed. No serious injuries reported.

Jones boarded at Albia and died before reaching St. Louis. The body was moved to Van Gorder & Co’s undertaking establishment.
