M K T excursion to State fair and Labor Day planning
The M. K. T. railroad ran an excursion from Wannibal to Sedalia to serve fair-goers. The train had five loaded coaches and extra cars, leaving Moberly at 7:40. About 239 tickets were sold, mostly to country people. Separately, a Labor Day planning meeting in the city hall drew large attendance with unions pledging unity, aims to raise 300, and committees to secure amusements and uniforms for floats. Also announced is the Armors Mutual Insurance annual meeting in Huntsville on Aug 28 1908 with full attendance desired.
