A new Oldsmobile owned by William Ervin went off a sixteen foot embankment near the Possum Hollow schoolhouse on the Middle Grove Road. Ethel Ervin driving toward Mob erly lost control at the creek bridge, the car rolled over the side about sixteen feet. A block and tackle lifted it from the ditch with little damage. No one suffered serious injury. passengers included Ethel Ervin Harold Ervin George Ervin and George Barnett.
