A satirical license form issued as a parody of liquor regulation. It mocks the Carlock license law by granting R. E. D. Nose a license to buy drink and booze while adding absurd conditions. The document notes a certificate of sanity and a ban on legislators, dated with a comical witness line.

Wichita Kansas April 86 Mrs Carrie Nation has bordered on lunacy but at 8 o'clock her derangement passed. Sheriff Simmons deemed it advisable to accept bond and allow her to attend her brother's funeral if friends accompany her. He calls her hopelessly insane and glad to be rid of her. She is held in solitary confinement after assaulting Mrs. Wilhite and spouting threats to wreck saloons. Her attorney James Ray and ex-bandman Wilbur Jonas tried to visit.
J. J. Christian offers a two year old high grade short horn bull for sale with two to select from. A 65 acre pasture to rent with water and shade is available one half mile south of Monerly.
Abraham Ware of Belleville Ohio declares Electrin Bitters the best selling bitters in 20 years. The product claims to cure disorders of stomach liver kidneys bowels blood and nerves by toning the stomach regulating organs purifying blood and strengthening the nervous system. Priced at 50 cents and sold by Dr Burke the East Side Druggist.
Advertisement touts Bromotine as a universal remedy for colds, la grippa, and neuralgia promising a cure in one day. It claims druggists will refund money if it fails and sets price at 260 per package. Sold by Frost's Pharmacy.
Moberly butchers sign a contract with city officials to close all shops by 7 p.m on week days except Saturday and payday nights, and to stay closed Sundays. Violators face a five dollar fine to fund enforcement and maintenance efforts. The agreement takes effect April 20, 1901. Also notes Moberly's Fifth Annual Saengerfest set for May 21 and 22 with appeal to attend.
Edward Rosewater of the Omaha Bee predicts William J. Bryan will seek the Nebraska governor’s chair next year. If nominated and elected he could push for a Democratic legislature and aim for a U.S. Senate seat to replace Gov. Dietrich after his 1906 term. He is not expected to pursue the presidency in 1904.
