Painful Accident In Alabama Yard Injures 4 Year Old
Eddie Heckenkamp, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Heckencamp, fell against a washing machine in the yard yesterday afternoon, cutting a deep gash. Dr Shrader treated him with two stitches. The boy was not seriously harmed and should recover in a few days. Fred Cox spent the Sabbath in Huntsville.

Yesterday at the Fourth Street Methodist Church the new Sunday school room was opened with a program attended by many. Rev Campbell preached at 11 o clock on God so loved the world and invited converts. the day included Junior League service at 2 30 and evening sermons with special choir music.

Shooting at Muntsville Leaves Brown Wounded
Callaway Brown, formerly with Joe Parrish's Hyvgery stable and now with Malone's, was shot by Stacey Smith of Salisbury late Saturday night in Muntsville during a dispute over a woman Brown boards with. Smith was arrested. doctors have not yet removed the bullet lodged in Brown's left lung. Brown, son of the hanged lad Brown, is described as quiet and harmless.

Terrible explosion at Leiter Colliery claims sixty lives
Special to Democraty Ziegler reports an early morning explosion at Leiter Colliery. Sixty miners entered at 6 am and only three escaped. A 6:45 blast of flame and roaring shock collapsed entrances, trapping entombed workers as fires and smoke pour from the shaft.
