Corn Palace Opens Grid of South Dakota Exhibits in Mitchell

The Corn Palace in Mitchell, opening Monday, September 25, will showcase a dozen counties of South Dakota agriculture and features Egyptian decor on the exterior. Ellery's fifty piece band travels from the east to perform a 96 selection program amid vaudeville acts and street attractions including a pair of automobiles performing daredevil feats. Mitchell invites Northwest residents to visit for entertainment and state promotion.

Richards Likely 10 Seek Senate Seat in South Dakota

Friends urge R. O. Richards to run as a La Follette candidate against incumbent Robert J. Gamble. Richards has not committed but may join if his backers drive the effort.
