Aberdeen South Dakota H F Patterson reports an army worm outbreak in Edmunds County with swarms eating grass and vegetation. A forty acre corn field was devoured and thousands of dollars in damage is claimed. Patterson travels to Edmunds County to help farmers control the pest.

William Jones vice president of International Harvester testified that in 1902 he met Elbert H Gary and helped transfer Plano Manufacturing to Harvester, forming a trust in restraint of trade. New York City Harry E Nolan secretary of the Panama legation was discharged in the Tombs police court on the charge of abducting Marion MacVicker an 18 year old married girl. She will be sent to her father in Scotland.
John F. Harlan of Illinois and J. Adam Bede of Minnesota pursued Roosevelt on his trail in San Francisco. They accused him of breaking his pledge not to run again and called him a liar and hypocrite as they criticized his candidacy.

Gov Wilson travels by train through Iowa amid praise from party figures. Alexander Manning recalls his past experiences with presidential nominees and predicts large crowds. Wilson heads to Sioux City for a speech at Interstate Fair with regional Democratic leaders meeting this afternoon. Sunday October 6 Wilson to join Bryan for a public review as a monster demonstration is planned.
