Man Killed After Falling From Milwaukee Train Near Mt Vernon
J B Thielgard of Minneapolis, traveling for Carpenter Lumber Co, fell from a Milwaukee train three miles east of Mt Vernon and was killed. Coroner impaneled a jury. verdict: accidental death from fall. Remains viewed in Mt Vernon then sent to Minneapolis. He was well liked, with life insured for about 10 000.

Dan McDermaid Fined for Drunk and Disorderly on Main Street
Dan McDermaid appeared before Judge Abbey on a drunk and disorderly charge. He pleaded guilty and was fined 15 dollars, paid, and released.
