Opening of Mitchell Lecture and Concert Course Impresses
The University directed lecture and concert series in Mitchell opened at the opera house to a large audience. Wesleyans and Miss Boynton received enthusiastic applause for verse readings and performances. Messrs Ireland, Farmer, Kenagy and Innesdale delivered fine quartet numbers with multiple encores. The program balanced humor with music as Dr. Nicholson praised local patronage and announced the Lulu Tyler Gates Concert Co for November 2. Berg's Sweet Laxative Chips are advertised as a mild bowel regulator.
