The bank asserts a high standard of conduct to protect depositors in all emergencies. It insures customers against reckless speculation and get-rich-quick fever. Profits, it says, come from prudent, conservative management with no danger element. Prospective patrons are invited to verify these claims of strength and stability.
The 1911 Aberdeen conference endorsed woman suffrage and chose Aberdeen over Madison to host next year. The session featured evangelism talks, a daily conference bulletin, ordination candidates, and a home mission emphasis led by Dr. Boswell urging greater support for domestic and foreign missions and church-building efforts nationwide.
The Dakota Conference held sessions with Rev G W Rosenburg and Bishop Oldham addressing clergy shifts, admissions, and retirements. Candidates were named for ministry on trial. several ordained deacons were announced. support given to superannuated preachers and widows. a push for unity with the Black Hills Mission and visits to Dakota Wesleyan University were noted. A special collection for Miss Erthorst and for Mrs Nichols raised funds. Dr Dobson was honored for six years of district service with thanks and a token typewriter. A Foreign Missions Night featured Bishop Oldham urging funds for Philippine work and a plan to establish a Mitchell church with a $131.56 collection.
