Sunday Services at Congregational Church
Rev. N. S. Bradley preached two lively sermons to full morning and packed evening audiences. The topic in the morning was the indwelling of the Holy Spirit from I Cor. 3 16, stressing free will and divine guidance, while the evening critiqued Col Ingersoll's Bible lectures, deeming him unsafe as a Bible teacher. The Epworth League elected officers and reported strong membership and activity, with a large Junior League attendance and a productive year ending with 122 enrolled and 67 regulars. Charles Mix News notes Yankton reservation openings, a coming railroad in 1895, and 170 000 acres of soil promising growth in the county.
