Birth on the Milwaukee train shocks Minnesota travelers
A baby girl was born Friday morning on the Hastings and Dakota division of the Milwaukee within between Buffalo Lake and Hector. Mother Mrs. C. Hammar of Ortonville traveled from Minneapolis with her husband. Dr. Ballard of St. Paul attended. A trained nurse was aboard as the lightest train in a year. The Fargo sleeper was set aside for the mother until daylight. The sleeping car company may honor naming the car Al, but the condition may be hard to meet. The child is reported healthy.

Thirty-Nine Men Pass Through Aberdeen on Redfield to Minneapolis Route
A party of about forty men traveled through Aberdeen last night en route from Redfield to Minneapolis. Work on the grade for the Milwaukee road to enter Redfield was halted by an injunction secured by C H Myers. The right of way runs through the city, with the grade largely completed except for a land strip north of town owned by Myers where terms could not be arranged.
