Eminent Irish American Speaker at Sioux City Rally

Hon John Brennan of Sioux City drew a large audience at the courthouse last evening in a strong Republican address. The event featured Sen Preston and I M Goodykoontz, with the Mitchell Republican Quartet performing and a mock critique of free trade. Brennan championed American opportunity under Republican policy, contrasted US and European conditions, warned of foreign market oversaturation, and endorsed silver Republicans. He praised the Union soldier and public schools, predicting a sweeping Republican victory and cautioning against Democratic gains in the South. The piece also notes health ads unrelated to the speech, urging Hood s Sarsaparilla for catarrh and Dr Sawyer's Pastilles for female weakness.
