Ethan records a well attended social last Thursday with a royal good time. An elegant supper at Hotel Sheeder featured ferns and La Franc roses. Hosts and waitresses received praise for a banquet many hope to repeat.

Riverside News Briefs from Riverside November

A light rain fell last week as C. E. Cassem departed for Chicago with a carload of cattle. Miss Mabel Jorgensen attended a church event in Riverside. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Shultz visited his mother Sunday. Coy Lambert hauled wheat to Riverside last week. Several runaways occurred recently, including Miss Barrow's horse at M. L. Wallis and Crossett's horse at Scofield's mill. Nerman Shultz and family visited Plano last Sunday. Yom Gordon was in the area Monday.

Child Injured by Nail Incident Near Forkland

The daughter of J N Powell stepped on a rake made of ten penny nails and the nail pierced her foot while another entered halfway. Chamblains Pain Balm was applied, and pain subsided within five minutes. After three days she wore a shoe again with no discomfort. Powell, a Forkland, Virginia merchant, advertises the antiseptic Balm for fast healing, sold by L O Gale, druggist.
