Kasper Holmberg, 19, of Turner County near Parker South Dakota, suffered a gunshot wound while removing a rusty cartridge from a rifle. Mitchell Grants Franchise for City's Light
Mitchell South Dakota October 28 The city council has granted a gas light franchise and active construction begins for a plant to be built two blocks west of the Omaha depot. The blocky cement structure 35 by 35 feet and 36 feet high will be overseen by George Summers of Chicago. A ditching machine will arrive from Pittsboro in a few days and if weather permits operations should start in five to six weeks. The council also contracted for twenty five street lights.
