A Milwaukee Wreck Injures Conductor Foster
Conductor IR Foster of the Milwaukee road was badly injured Monday evening when a freight train between Michell and Aberdeen split in two near the city. He was in the caboose cupola when the cars separated and was thrown through a window, suffering deep cuts to the chin lips and neck. He was moved to the Merchant's hotel for treatment and replaced on his run by another conductor Tuesday morning.
