In Huron South Dakota on March 18 Charles Seeley married Miss Rose Blanche Spaulding at the bride’s mother’s home. Seeley a Chicago and Northwestern railway man. Spaulding president of the South Dakota Daughters of Rebekah grand lodge. They will reside in Huron after April 15 at home.
The body of Charles Slaight, drowned December 25 along with Cushman and Daniel Slaight while attempting to cross the Missouri River near White Swan, was found on a sand bar two miles downstream. No trace yet of the other two victims.
A chaotic break in ended with robbers fleeing as an electric alarm activated a time lock. Police reported the alarm sounded through the building, scattering the thieves who vanished before authorities could intervene.
Adjutant Anglesby forms a regular regiment from state militia encamped this summer and expects supply. The war college plans to send regulars to state camps for local troop instruction. If secured, state guards will enter camp about July 1.

They plan to stop in New York Princeton and other places on the way home. South Dakota insurgents applaud success in overruling the Stittredge faction on unconfirmed post office appointments with Bras at Mitchell and Goddard at Edgemont withdrawn and Wells and Calder substituted respectively by the president. Platte and Chamberlain officers are held up pending investigation by the new congressmen to determine local wishes and likely will be named by them.
Washington reports that a mule owned by Senor Irenio Salrado sparked the Nicaragua Honduras dispute. Honduran foreign minister Agusto Coello protested theft by thirty five Nicaraguan cavalrymen and disputed Salgado's citizenship, arguing he had to leave Honduras prior revolutions. The shell of a quarrel escalated toward war threatening regional peace.
The Oldham company rejects insolvency allegations and challenges the involuntary bankruptcy petition filed by T. R. Moder Albert Koehne and Thomas W. Rae. Officers deny debt, claim assets exceed 20 000 dollars, and seek dissolution of a temporary injunction while requesting costs and fees. The case proceeds in April in United States court in this city.
