Fire destroys Masonia Temple block in Madison South Dakota
Madison March 7. The Masonia Temple block fire is one of the most disastrous in dollars and cents here. The three story building fronting fifty feet housed J J Fitzgerald Frank Smith and the local Mason Lodge with stores occupied by Fitzgerald Schutz Ketcham and the fire caused extensive stock losses and water damage. The lodge room on the third floor burned out completely and the four walls remain standing. Insurance covered most buildings and offices with varying sums. Local businesses sustained heavy damage to stock and fixtures while parts of the block were saved.

Funeral Follows Boy Killed by Horse Kick Near Kennedy
The twelve year old son of John Verrizina, a Kennedy township farmer eleven miles northeast of Wagner, died after a horse kicked him in the forehead fracturing his skull and facial bones.
