A southern Watertown tornado struck near Birds avenue and Sixth avenue, injuring 24 and destroying 150 homes. The storm damaged utilities and disrupted lines while lifting a barn onto another structure. Families escaped to cellars and one passenger train suffered window damage.

Chicago reports no loss of life but widespread crop damage from last night's wind storm. In Saint Paul Minneapolis four deaths are suspected with two bodies recovered from Lake Harriet and two missing. Fort Snelling suffered heavy damage with 200 trees down and two cavalry barns destroyed as aviator Heiney and two planes were wrecked. Over 600 telephones out in St Paul and rail lines crippled by downed telegraph wires across Minnesota Wisconsin and the Dakotas.

A tornado struck Webster South Carolina last evening shortly after six wrecking the Herman Olson elevator and the Homer Clark livery barn. Glass shattered along the east side of the street in the business district as damage unfolded.
