Chicago market report shows hog prices up five cents from Tuesday with estimated receipts of 297000 and 221 percent carryover. Cattle and sheep also move higher with beef and stocker values lifting while grain quotes across Milwaukee market mix show mixed grain futures and oversold oats.
Sioux City Iowa cattle receipts 1200 with prices ten to fifteen cents higher. Hogs receipts 8500 with market strong to five cents higher. Top hog price 8.50 with bulk 8.37 to 8.42. Sheep market strong.
Sioux City Iowa market notes show a steady to firmer week with hogs advancing 10 to 11 cents from Monday as demand remains strong. Beves cows calves veal and lambs also trend higher with cattle partly stockers and feeders up to 10 cents.
Mitchele grain market reports No 1 northern wheat at 77, No 2 northern 75, No 3 northern 71, Velvet bar 176 and No 2 at 74, corn 46, oats 31, barley 35, and WLAX at -1.10. Prices reflect early trading and commodity quotes.
Minneapolis cash close lists wheat prices for No 1 hard and northern varieties with bid and ask figures for July and September contracts. Corn No 2 yellow and No 4 include bid and ask ranges, while oats barley rye and flax prices and arrivals are noted with small deviations and arrivals figures.
Through confessions of two alleged members Huardins county authorities believe they have broken a horse rustling gang that operated for eight months. The gang seized horses from northern ranches and allegedly sent them to New England markets. Clayton implicated Tokolo and named IT A Gilbert former judge financed the operation. Gilbert awaits district court bail after being bound over.

The Aberdeen Elks plan a large special train to attend the state convention in Mitchell on June 26 and 27. Elks from surrounding towns will ride the Aberdeen train and an all Elks band will join. A large class of candidates will be initiated on June 25 and trip plans for the Mitchell excursion will be finalized.
