Northwest steamer Northwest maiden voyage to Duluth

The steamer Northwest of the Northern Steamship line began its maiden journey from Buffalo to Duluth expected to take 66 hours with four four hour resale stops. About 100 first class passengers are booked from Buffalo and similar numbers from Cleveland and Detroit. The vessel opens the Hay Lake channel in the Sault as the first to pass through and will return to Buffalo next Monday.
