The Torbett Concert Co. drew a large audience at the Grand Opera House with an elegant program. Miss Torbett and Miss Mawson impressed, Lutteman quintette wowed, and Manager Gale earned praise for securing such an attraction. The Shaw wedding party celebrated south of town with a reception, gifts, and plans to reside in Hurley by Aug. 20. The Capital newspaper extends hearty congratulations.

Noble Shaw Wedding Consummated at Noble Home

Miss Dora Noble wed Mr. Lewis Shaw of Hurley, with Rev A C Stevens of the Methodist church officiating. The couple’s families and close friends attended, and the bride wore white china silk trimmed with lace and ribbon.

County Central Committee Sets July 31 Convention
The Republican county central committee met at the Educator office with Chairman Wells and Secretary Bras presiding. They scheduled a county convention for Saturday July 31 at 2 oclock to select eight delegates to the judicial convention and ordered caucuses for Friday evening July 30 at 8 oclock. Polls will stay open one hour and each township retains the same representation as last year.
