First Pay Day At Champeny Creamery Delights Local Farmers
Farmers in Cham pey's creamery district received their first pay for May and June deliveries. About 50 patrons hauled milk to the creamery as of May end, rising to 50 by mid June. In two weeks of May the creamery handled 125000 pounds, paying 45 cents per hundredweight to farmers, while butter earned 11 cents per pound. The total to farmers was about a sum that will be doubled next month, boosting local business and herd expansions. The Republican will publish detailed per-patron milk sales and payments next month.

The Weslington Times urges J H Scriven of Mitchell as ideal for Republican state central committee chairman. It lauds his 1892 work as secretary, his 600 speeches located statewide, and Basford's 1894 campaign alignment. If chosen, Scriven could lead a vigorous 1896 campaign to victory.
