A Fireman's Fate in a Rescue Gone Fatal
McKeesport Pennsylvania February 24 Freman Lynch rushed into a burning house to save his two small children. Comrades found him collapsed with his children in his arms. Both children died. Lynch was unconscious and thought to be near death. Three other youths were fatally injured walking on a Pennsylvania track earlier.

Run Down by a Train In Braddock Destroys Party
A party of young dancers returning from Braddock dance were struck by a Pennsylvania train near Hawkins station. Alice Gaskell was killed instantly while William Dewar, 22, died later from injuries. Dalton Sigler suffered severe injuries with no hope of recovery. The tragedy followed the party missing the last train and walking along the tracks.
