Obituary of Micheal Dower in South Dakota
Micheal Dower died after a brief illness at his Mitchell area home February 18 1911 at age 41 years 5 months and 18 days. He married Julia Farrell June 1 1910 at Holy Family church and was buried at Holy Family cemetery. Survived by wife one brother and three sisters with a large number at his deathbed. May he rest in peace Amen.

Man Burned to Death in Bunk Car Explosion
In Rapid City South Dakota Mike Shy aged 40 threw kerosene on a fire in a bunk car on the Rapid City Canyon line to speed it up. The explosion demolished the car burning Shy horribly disfiguring his body. He died after hours of intense suffering. His mother lives in Shaynesville Ohio. Shy was a derrick man on the railroad last year.
