Jurist Kellam Leaves Pierre Amid Scandalous Claims
The jurist Kellam formerly of the supreme court has left Pierre and is said to head for the Pacific Coast with no prosecution likely. Reports allege a confessed guilty relationship with Mrs. Keyes, wife of Hughes county’s register of deeds, prompting a marriage fallout and a divorce threat. Governors and others reportedly condemned Kellam as he traveled, leaving him penniless at about age sixty. Royal Arch Masons install new officers in Mitchell chapter with S H Scallin officiating and a post-ceremony gathering remarking on the good of the order.

Will He Resigned Judge Kellam’s Immoral Conduct Allegations
Dispatches from Pierre claim Judge Kellam resigned from the supreme bench due to grossly immoral conduct involving two Pierre women, one underage, shaking Pierre society. Several longtime acquaintances doubt the accusation, recalling him as a trusted, humane figure.
