Interest Deep Despite Snow at Local Methodist Meetings
The First Methodist Episcopal church held gospel meetings with attendance unaffected by a snowstorm. About a thousand came last night, twenty-five moved to front seats as they professed conversion. Dr Mahood preached on Ye must be born again, stressing a new creation and life in the soul. He also spoke on sowing and reaping, urging a pure life while the quartet and a women’s meeting aided by Mrs Mahood drew strong responses. Tonight’s sermon is What An Earthquake Did, with Tuesday events including a health culture address by Dr Mahood.
