N J Neilsen was attacked by two men late Saturday, bound and gagged, robbed of about $237 belonging to a lodge plus cash, left on the ground for over an hour before a night watchman freed him. Police seek clues as other burglaries disturb the town.

A Milwaukee passenger train from the north arrived in Mitchell after 9 pm on Thursday due to a bridge fire two miles north of Wolsey. The 100 foot bridge burned at both ends, blocking the line. wrecking crews repaired it by midnight and trains resumed service. Passengers suffered long waits and limited food offerings.
