Important Tax Decision On Tax Certificates
County records show Huronite reporting that Sanborn county commissioners compromised delinquent taxes on C A Prior. Tax certificates were sold to C M Allen and others at a discount. Prior sued Allen. the court ruled Prior pays only what Allen paid. The decision allows redemption of property sold for taxes at the amount paid for the tax certificates.

Governor Herried Visits Sioux Falls and Talks Ex W Session
Governor Charles N. Herried arrived on the Milwaukee from the north and spent the day in the city at The Mitchell. He praised state progress and discussed the likelihood of a special session to approve funds for a St Louis exposition exhibit. He suggested action could wait until January 1908 and noted Flag Day on December 20 and a call for all state institutions to display the flag.
