Live Stock Breeders Association Meeting Heads South Dakota Stock Show

The South Dakota Live Stock Breeders Association will hold its annual meeting in conjunction with the poultry show. Reorganization of South Dakota Militia at Redfield

The state militia officers above first lieutenant met at Redfield last week and totally reorganized the forces. Resignations of Majors Hines and Ma honey were accepted earlier. Capt Johnson of Redfield and Capt Aldrich of Sioux Falls were named to the two major vacancies. Major Coursey of this city promoted to the highest major in the second regiment, selecting Volga Salem Yankton and Mitchell companies.

Kellogg the Songster Delights At Opera House Show

Charles Dennison Kellogg presented an evening of bird song and nature narratives at the Opera House. The performance featured realistic bird voices, nature photographs, and stories of Kellogg's seven months yearly in the woods, drawing praise from a diverse audience including 300 children at a matinee.

Camp Eleets Officers Elected for Mitchell Encampment

Mitchell Encampment held its annual election Monday evening with W. N. Hollands named Past Chief Patriarch and A. J. Curtis Chief Patriarch. W. M. White was chosen high priest, E. H. Won Bowling Contest Between Alexandria and Mitchell

A tight Vermilyea alleys match Thursday evening saw Mitchell edge Alexandria by 36 pins after five games.
