Emigration drive and editor appeals at Corn Belt meeting
The Corn Belt Real Estate association met at Mitchell to push emigration to South Dakota. Resolutions urge honest publicity, wider dealer membership, and a January pamphlet on the Corn Belt. Committees on general business, advertising, and transportation. next meeting set for Yankton during the World’s Fair period. A secret editors’ gathering in Mitchell prompts rebuttal from The Mitchell Capital and notes on local events, including dog races and a wolf hunt.
