Sunday Services and Temperance Event Highlight Mitchell
Sunday services filled the forenoon and an overflow crowd attended the evening, headlined by Miss Pash of the Salvation Army sharing experiences from India and the Orient. A Demorest contest at the courthouse, under the Women’s Christian Temperance Union, awarded Miss Madge Corwin the medal amid musical numbers and a university quartet. Officers were elected for the Women’s Relief Corps, and numerous ads and testimonials on Hood’s Sarsaparilla Ely’s Cream and other remedies followed, with teachers’ association notes and a call to Dr. King’s New Discovery for coughs and colds.
