Chandler Oklahoma Henry Starr pled guilty to bank robbery in district court and received a twenty five year penitentiary term. Gladys Martindale a 17 year old visitor from Kansas City drowns while learning to swim with her brother on Box Elder creek near the Montana line. The accident occurred at the Brownfield ranch reservoir and the body was taken to Beloit Kansas for burial by her brother.
