Useful Frostings and Frosting Techniques for Cakes
Frostings extend a cake’s life by sealing in moisture and adding flavor. Uncooked frostings save time, use egg white and sugar with water or juice, and suit immediate serving. Boiled frostings produce shine and creamy texture but require careful cooking and possible adjustments with lemon juice or sugar. Atmospheric humidity can affect sugar boiling, making frosting sticky on damp days.
