Mrs Sarah Virginia Younger wife of C W Younger died at her home near Postel on Monday November 10 1912 after two years of ill health from complications. Born October 19 1854 in Washington County Pennsylvania she moved to Missouri as a child. She joined the church in 187? and remained faithful. Survived by husband C W Younger and nine children Blanch Raines Maud Alexander Liza Currey Pearl Nichols Ela Frank Ed Justin Jr Pome and others. Funeral by Rev Crockett at 11 a m burial in Millers Chips Cemetery. She was a devout Christian loving mother and friend to many.

Funeral held at residence with Rev G E Shakniin and body laid to rest in Fairview cemetery.

Barn Fire Causes Heavy Loss Near Town
Big Barn Fire at Will King place five miles south of town destroyed a 60 by 40 foot structure. A horse perished and another was injured as the blaze, unknown in origin, swept through the barn at midnight. The barn held 29 tons of hay 100 barrels of corn and other goods. Explosion Kills Blackburn Mill Owner in Boiler Blast
A boiler exploded at the Blackburn mill injuring and killing proprietor L. R. Zellers. The blast wrecked the building, scattered boiler parts onto the tracks, and caused minor mill losses. Zellers died instantly and is survived by his widow. Services were held in Blackburn before burial in Kansas.
