Jambes E Kabler of Sedalia son of Mr and Mrs J B Kabler died in Sedalia on Novy th after a brief illness. Survived by parents three brothers Chas Clarence and Will all of Sedalia and four sisters three in Sedalia and Miss Minnie of Marshall. Remains laid to rest in Sedalia on Noy ith. He was 24 years old.

Fannie Haggin, Col., Dies After Long Illness at 71
Fannie Haggin died at her home on North Salt Pond Ave on Monday evening November 22 after a yearlong illness of cancer aged 71 years 7 months and 21 days. Born in Kentucky she came here during slavery. She left considerable property. Funeral services were held at North Street M E Church Wednesday conducted by Rev Geo W Reeves and burial was in Fairview cemetery.

Verdict of Homicide Shocks Malta Bend Community
James Waller a prominent Malta Bend farmer was found dead in his bed. Coroner's inquest concluded death by poison unknown person or persons, with stomach to be examined in Kansas City. Waller's wife popular, three children survive, funeral held at Malta Bend with Marshall turnout.

Court updates in liquor cases at Kansas City appeals
In Saturday's criminal court R 8 Reed was cleared of illegal liquor sales. Will Armstrong received 500 dollars fine and six months jail on the same charge, with a 1000 dollar bond for appeal. Arthur Moore, recently sentenced on a game charge, appealed to the Kansas City Court of Appeals and remains imprisoned. Varinda Crawford, colored, got six months in jail and 300 dollars fine for illegal liquor selling. Court adjourned to Monday morning November 29 for more liquor cases.
