The death of Miss Joan C Orr occurred at the home of her brother Judge Isaac H Orr in St Louis on Thursday morning November 16. She was found in bed, not ill prior, with cerebral hemorrhage suspected. Orr taught at M V C for fourteen years and spent about sixteen years teaching in other schools, earning a high esteem. Her remains were brought to her later services.

Isaac Tindell aged about 63 a respected Arrow Rock resident died Sunday evening at the county farm from valvular heart disease. His wife died at the county home about a year ago. His remains were sent to Arrow Rock for burial.
