Murdered Wife and Wounded in West Sixth Street Rooming House

John Haslip, a jealous husband from Saline County, killed his wife in a Kansas City rooming house on West Sixth Street and wounded Charles Barrer and Maude Mitchell, with all shots hitting their targets. Haslip, 25, confessed regret but denied insanity and was jailed awaiting trial for murder in the first degree. Local cattle and livestock market notes follow.
