Kapp wife of A W Kapp of Malta Bend died unexpectedly Wednesday Nov 8 at 9 p m age 63 She is survived by husband and two sons W C Kapp editor of the Warrensburg Journal Democrat and W G Kapp of Iowa She was active in Malta Bend M E church Eastern Star and Rebekah lodges Funeral services were led by Rev Wm Leatherman and were followed by burial in the Malta Bend cemetery.

Porch Collapse Injures Woman As Car Crashes Into Hotel Pillar
Tom Marshall drove a car with Virgil Sayles as chauffeur Saturday. The vehicle struck a pillar of the Southern hotel porch causing most of the porch to collapse. Mrs. Jack Dean was under the porch and was rescued with a badly bruised foot. Saylis was arrested for reckless driving and to be tried before Judge Busch Friday.

Walter E Wise aged 31 died at his mother Mrs Mary B Wise home on Saturday November 1 at 1 pm from heart trouble. He is survived by his mother two sisters and two brothers. Funeral services were held at the home by Elder B T Wharton with Dr A H Stephena and burial followed at Ridge Park cemetery. Pallbearers listed as John and Jas Martin Jas Laytham W H Nichola Wm Armstrong and Geo Chamberlain.

She was daughter of Mr and Mrs I J Mikels of west of town and a highly regarded young lady. Remains expected to arrive. Funeral arrangements not yet made. She and her husband resided in Kennett Missouri, married just over a year.

Hunters Survive Blizzard Ordeal On River Bar
On a duck hunt near New Frankfort a party including Brick Storte and John Benson faced a brutal blizzard. Stranded on a frozen bar they endured 26 hours without food or warmth, two men attempting to seek help by skiff. Rescuers from New Frankfort rerouted to reach them.
