Mrs H W Utlaut 36 died at home near Grand Pass on October 28 after childbirth heart failure. Mary Elizabeth Oberhellman born May 15 1874 in Warren County married to Henry Utlaut March 5 1896, moved to Saline five years ago. A daughter was born shortly before death. She was daughter of Mr and Mrs H A Oberhellman of Martha sville. Remains taken to Warren County for honors. Sympathy extended to husband and three young children.

Death of Marshalls prominent citizen Tip Isaacs at sister's home
WM H Isaacs known as Tip Isaacs was found dead at his sister Mrs Sue Eakin’s Eastwood Ave home Saturday. He was 71, born in Saline, once deputy sheriff under Matt Ayres and Joseph Wilson. Survived by two half sisters and a brother John who arrived for the funeral. After services Monday at Mrs Fakins led by Rev B T Wharton, he was interred at Ridge Park cemetery beside his wife.

Elber Warren Velten of Saline county born September 21 1888 died November 7 1910 at the home of Mrs M J Sellmeyer in Howard county after a brief illness. He leaves Robt and Martha Velten his parents two sisters Mrs W J Sellmeyer and Mrs B F Harold and two brothers John and Robt Velten. He was a Bible reader and valued certain passages. Funeral services were led by J Verrill of Gilliam with a second service at Fish Creek church.

H. H. Harris longtime Saline resident died suddenly in Colorado Springs at 85. Survived by four children, Rev. T. B. Harris of Oak Grove, Mrs. John Moreland of Columbia, Mrs. John Griffith of Oklahoma City, and H. H. Harris of east Saline. He was a faithful member of the M. E. Church South and was brought back to Saline for burial.

Mrs John Plattner of Grand Pass died Tuesday morning at home from gall stones after a two week illness. She is survived by her husband and seven year old daughter. Funeral services led by Rev Bedsgworth were held Wednesday and she was buried in Grand Pass cemetery.
