Two boys aged 7 and 9 were arrested on Saturday night for stealing pocket knives from John W Batlew’s hardware store and nearly $500 worth of jewelry from Maud and Adams. The pair attempted to dispose of the goods. Eugene Dawes and Harrison Pate helped with the discovery and arrest. City ordinances revision and attorney work noted in local notice.

Warrants issued for county paupers. adjourned to May 17 1906.
An Omaha man named A. J. Burke, claiming representation of a St. Louis firm, contracted with Malta Bend Ice Co to supply machinery. The St. Louis firm denies agency. Burke was arrested Saturday for obtaining money under false pretenses after about $2,000 paid. A Malta Bend delegation witnessed the trial in Justice Hawley’s court.
